CK Solution wins SK hynix cleanroom deal, targeting 500B won
A $110 million contract for SK hynix's Indiana packaging fab lifts the cleanroom engineering specialist's disclosed 2026 bookings to 348 billion won toward a full-year goal of 500 billion won.
CK Solution targeted up to 600 billion won in cumulative 2026 orders on Oct. 2, following a $110 million cleanroom contract for SK hynix's advanced packaging plant in Indiana.
The South Korean engineering specialist builds industrial climate control systems and dry rooms. Those installations maintain ultra-low humidity levels critical for semiconductor packaging and electric vehicle battery manufacturing lines.
The SK hynix contract is valued at $110.35 million, or 147.68 billion won. That single order accounts for 50.75% of CK Solution's 2025 consolidated revenue of 291.01 billion won.
The deal was finalized Sept. 11 through CK America, the company's wholly owned US subsidiary. CK Solution submitted the regulatory filing to the Korea Exchange on Sept. 14.
CK America signed the contract with Hi-tech Engineering Partners LLC. The counterparty is the US engineering and construction affiliate of SK ecoplant, which directs factory building for SK Group subsidiaries.
Under the contract, CK America will construct cleanrooms, dry rooms and central utility building infrastructure. The work supports SK hynix's advanced packaging plant in West Lafayette, Indiana.
SK hynix broke ground on the 133-acre site on Aug. 27 to build high-bandwidth memory packaging lines. The total capital expenditure for the Indiana campus exceeds $4 billion.
The Indiana facility will process memory wafers manufactured at SK hynix fabs in South Korea. Workers will package and test the components locally before delivering finished modules to US clients.
Advanced packaging stacks dynamic random-access memory dies vertically above high-performance logic silicon. That stacking process requires cleanroom environments with microscopic particulate filtering and steady temperature containment.
The US assignment expands a growing construction order backlog for CK Solution. The company recorded 347.8 billion won in publicly disclosed supply contracts during the first nine months of 2026.
CK Solution gained a public listing on the KOSPI market on March 17, 2025. The company closed 2025 with 211.3 billion won in total assets and 72.1 billion won in equity.
A downturn in global battery plant construction contributed to an operating loss of 36.6 billion won in 2025. In response, management reallocated engineering crews toward semiconductor fabs and artificial intelligence data centers.
On Aug. 13, CK Solution disclosed a 30.86 billion won order from Samsung Heavy Industries. That agreement covers interior architectural finishing work for Phase 1 of Samsung Electronics' P5 fab in Pyeongtaek.
The Pyeongtaek finishing contract represented 10.60% of CK Solution's 2025 consolidated revenue. On-site installation work began on July 30, 2026, and is scheduled to conclude by July 30, 2027.
On June 8, the company disclosed a 9.20 billion won deal with Hanwha Systems. That project provides cooling upgrades and building management systems for data center infrastructure in Yongin through March 31, 2027.
CK Solution added commercial data center clients on Oct. 1 by revising a mechanical equipment contract with GS C&A. The deal covers Phase 1 mechanical installations at an LG Uplus facility under construction in Paju.
That revised contract was raised to 22.98 billion won, equal to 7.90% of annual revenue. An earlier contract valuation had been set at 13.29 billion won in November 2025.
To broaden its facility equipment supply lines, CK Solution signed an agency agreement with France-based Schneider Electric on Sept. 9. That alliance supplies power distribution and cooling systems for domestic computing centers.
CK Solution originally developed its industrial base around electric vehicle battery dry rooms. Its US arm finalized mechanical hook-up work for the L-H Battery Company joint venture in Ohio on Aug. 31, 2026.
Company executives established the full-year target of 500 billion to 600 billion won on Oct. 2 by combining these factory agreements with unannounced procurement bids, company officials said.
Work on the West Lafayette cleanroom package began Sept. 1, 2026, and is scheduled for completion on Oct. 31, 2028. That milestone covers mechanical systems across the main fab and central utility blocks.
The delivery date aligns with SK hynix's installation timeline, which targets cleanroom completion in October 2028 ahead of commercial mass production in the second half of 2029.
Regulatory filings do not disclose the specific corporate counterparties, delivery terms or firm contract values for the unannounced agreements that complete the 500 billion to 600 billion won order target.
