Hanmi Semiconductor secured an equipment purchase order on Sept. 15 to deliver advanced packaging tools to Elon Musk's Terafab semiconductor complex in Austin, Texas, according to industry reports.
The reported agreement targets a fabrication project designed with estimated capital expenditure of up to $119 billion. Hanmi Semiconductor previously committed 50 billion won ($37.3 million), or 7.24% of its equity, to acquire shares in Musk's Space Exploration Technologies Corp.
