Samsung Heavy Industries signed a 672.2 billion won ($494.4 million) contract on Oct. 2, 2026, to build two liquefied natural gas carriers for an undisclosed Asian shipowner.
The deal represents 6.3% of the company's 2025 consolidated revenue of 10.65 trillion won. Contract values were converted at a base exchange rate of 1,359.60 won per dollar, the shipbuilder said.
