Nexchip Semiconductor said Oct. 1 it will inject 908 million yuan ($128 million) in production assets into photomask maker Anhui Jingmei, lifting its stake to 32% to secure local reticle supplies.

The transaction transfers 100% of tooling subsidiary Hefei Jingwei Technology to Anhui Jingmei as an in-kind contribution. Nexchip took the step to integrate its lithography supply chain amid tightening trade restrictions.
