Estun Automation completes buyout of robotics unit Codroid
The Chinese industrial robotics maker paid 487 million yuan in cash to bring collaborative arms and embodied AI software in-house under consolidated accounts.
Estun Automation said Sept. 7 it had completed the buyout of collaborative robotics unit Estun Codroid, folding the subsidiary into its group accounts to accelerate flexible factory automation.
The transaction brings lightweight articulated arms and robotic motion algorithms under the company's direct operational control. Estun Automation is China's largest domestic industrial robot producer by shipment volume.
