Counterpoint Research said Sept. 29 that global Foundry 2.0 revenue expanded 25% year-on-year to a record $96.6 billion in the second quarter of 2026 as advanced packaging capacity drove industry turnover.

The quarterly result accelerated from a 24% annual gain in the first quarter of 2026, when sales reached $86 billion, the research firm said in its Foundry Market Supply Tracker. Sequential revenue expanded 11%.
